What's 'mac' ?
We used to collect shell fish, cook and eat when we stayed on the coast. Can't face it these days

Macaroni CLKD.
Hubby loves seafood in all its many forms but I'm not keen on mussels or oysters. I seem to have a bit of a reaction to them so I avoid.

I could never fancy oysters, we were in Essex - home of the UK oyster apparently - recently, but I avoid any shell fish that I haven't collected myself
Love macaroni cheese and Welsh rarebit …….

Ooh haven't made myself DF Mac & cheese for ages. Hubby has always loathed the stuff so I tend to have at lunchtime when he's at work.

In a sandwich TC with tomato sauce.....yummy.
I have been known to make chips, butter two slices of unhealthy white bread, put chips on top of bread....carefully arranged....tomato sauce and salt and munch.
If anyone wants a recipe for a chip butty
.....just ask.

The salt is crucial, now which do you favour, ground sea salt or ordinary table salt?
Tonight we had cheat/idle fish pie and petits pois

Oh it has to be just table salt....the taste of childhood, oh and hard up early married days
My kids love a chip butty
...I taught them well.

Never ever had a fish finger sandwich or a chip butty. Not something that appeals to me. However, never say never.

I enjoyed it at the time
- a thick slab of white bread with butter, chips and salt inside. I think it was the greasiness that made me nauseous. Never had it since
Fish finger sandwich - without tomato sauce, thanks

Next time HB. Seldom go to chip shop mind you. I only have chips, as batter on everything contains dairy. Miss my black pudding suppers!
Tonight we're going out for our meal to an Indian, so no cooking required on my part.

Today I have made a fruit and cherry jelly, wholemeal loaf in bread maker, gingerbread people and choc chip cookies. Steak and chips for tea with jelly and ice-cream for pud.
