Only Quorn I can stand is the mince, probably as sauces such as bolognaise & chilli kill the tastelessness of it. Tried quorn sausages once, nearly made hubby & I barf.

Daughter did the veggie thing in her teens, but then decided real meat was better. So she cast aside her feelings for killing animals for meat. As a student, meat was rarely in her diet, unless she came home for a meal. Couldn't afford it. It was beans, pasta & soup.

Yep I get that CG , but she is staying at home  ::). Mind you I have to say she has never been a red meat fan. She would eat the occasional steak, hated lamb and pork. Liked cottage pie and steak pie. She has always preferred fish and chicken.
It's difficult to try to get us all eating the same. She is up to her eyes in her honours year and the work is eye watering.....so I want to cook for her so she doesn't have to bother.
She is out tomorrow ...thank goodness  ;D.
Saturday we are having half a stuffed pepper and stuffed tomatoes.....Sunday is Sea Bass, Monday....oh heaven knows.
I'm going to the library on Saturday for a veggie cook book. Maybe something there I can adapt.

Wish she would just eat....well normally. Add the veggie into the lactose intolerance and it's a nightmare.

Mini rant over  ::)

Vege & Lactose intolerance are certainly not a good mix, but is possible. Thing I can no longer get is dairy free version of grated parmesan. Can't do risotto any more, mind you hubby is happy as he dislikes risotto.  ;D

Fish and chips from the chippy, mushy peas...I've cooked all week. Lovely Friday splurge!

Dishwasher already full  :o  ;D

DH wandered in a while back stating 'there's a mountain of washing up there'  -  'we can't get the Staff, she's likely to be back in the morning' was my reply  ;)

Now he's slicing freshly made bread  :-* - marmalade anyone ?

Friday's bread was a success :)  Yesterday made batch of biscuits, fairy cakes and pea and ham soup in slow cooker.  (enough for us and some for parents).

Today I am making bread buns for DH lunches, they are 'proving'  ;) Also having a very rare Sunday roast leg of lamb and roast tatties and veg.
