I went to see my GP this morning.  I had to make the appt two weeks ago  ........ upshot is, treatment satisfactory, he has put me on 2 x 3 months repeat then review.

He was surprised that I went in and out so fast - that was all I needed, confirmation that I can have a repeat and not need to wait until symptoms reoccur

For a couple of days I've noticed back-ground symtpoms so used a pessary 2 nights running to ease the feeling of needing to pee.
Probably need to take a Nurofen before I go for my eye test this afternoon .........

Just read your link on vaginal pain, Taz and of course it makes sense now! I have degenerative disc disease affecting the sciatic nerve down my right leg. I must also be having referred pain in the vagina/bladder area. Thank you for this info. I can't take antidepressants as I had serotonin syndrome caused by being given two lots of antidepressants by own GP and Back pain Specialist (no one was talking to each other and of course I didn't know). I don't ever want to experience that again. It felt like I was having a stroke and was rushed to hospital. Anyway, at least it makes sense now.

I can use a pessary every 5 nights now ..........

CLKD I'm not sure why you are using one every 5 nights?  Is it Orthogynest you have? The maintenance dose is twice a week so personally I would not use them less frequently than this because this may be insufficient. It's a long term thing....

I know but my symptoms have lessened.  I get a physical 'warning' when I forget  ........ every 3 or 4th morning I lay a pessary on the bed to remind me ..........
