Oh poor you, CLKD, you have my sympathy as I am experiencing that old familiar, nagging pain, needing loo all the time and itchy/sore on outer lips. I was fine for these few weeks after op but when VA strikes, it's horrible. Hope you are feeling better soon

Several ladies are complaining of similar symptoms.  Try not to wait too long before seeking treatment!  I thought it wasn't going to happen to me  :-\

At least we have got this far though!! The alternative to growing older and becoming menopausal is not that palatable either...

Hello all.  I've just been taken off HRT due to bleeding/fibroids, and 4 weeks in I appear to be getting bladder problems.  Feels like I have a full bladder nearly all the time and burning when I do go.... ???  Having read the thread I'm just wondering if any of you knowledgeable ladies have any thoughts on whether I might be suitable for Vagifem or any of the other treatments mentioned here?  Would they 'feed' the fibroids like the oral HRT did?  And restart the bleeding?

I'm seeing my GP next week anyway, but I'm not sure she knows much (if anything) about VA, so any info gained here would be valuable!

Hi and Welcome Dizz
Vagifem could well be the answer - many ladies find it works very well for VA and bladder problems.   I'm struggling with soreness and burning at the moment but Vagifem isn't really helping me - I may have to try something else.  Hopefully others will be along to advice but I don't think local oestrogen will affect fibroids etc.  DGX
