Wish I had some bursts too. She bounds out of bed expecting us to play games. ERM nope. She gets frustrated with us and calls us B-O-R-I-N-G!  Us? Old definitely!

Oh CB, I'm sorry, I thought I'd read that your daughter had had gestational diabetes.  Must pay closer attention.  I would be totally incapable of the patience and physical stamina required to care for a grand child, especially with all the terrific strain you've been under.  Glad the blood work was ok. Do you take B vitamins, especially B12.  B is used up quickly, when under stress and as we age we produce much less. Just a thought.

No apology needed Trey.  She was questioned on numerous occasions about it, but no mention of it either to her or in her records. Hospital have ruled it out now anyway.
I head down tomorrow morning for however long I'm needed. Hate being away from hubby for any length of time, but I think we can cope ;). He'll be glad of the peace and having total control of the remote.  ;D

Thinking of you, your faily and your grand-daughter this weekend.  I hope every day sees an improvement.

She's passed her first fasting test so she can come home for 24 hrs then go back in so they can reduce her meds a bit more.  Being seen by specialists from Manchester hospital on Wednesday. They will discuss further treatment options but looking good so far.  Daughter's partner reckons I will be down for at least a week until baby gets OK to come home for good.

Huge relief all round. Daughter had to give up breast feeding though which she is rather upset about. They need to monitor how much baby consumes for glucose purposes. She could have expressed, but it's a slow process and what with the baby being a slow feeder they felt it was for the best under the circumstances. Baby has had nearly 3 weeks of breast milk though, which I keep saying is a good thing.
