Gosh some of you are sooo lucky, I am very boring, only seen Chris de Burgh twice, love his music, Celtic Woman, Bryan Adams, kids saw Avril Lavigne  we sat at the back  and of course Elton John....but biggest regret ever is not seeing Bee Gees live in concert, aaw Robin Gibb may he RIP. And would love to have seen Billy Joel as well.

Ah Suzi - where are you seeing Fleetwood Mac? I've just turned down an offer for a ticket to see them in London from an ex! He thinks he knows me so well but has forgotten that I never liked them. I did say he could give me the money instead  ;D

I would have loved to have seen Queen too. Suzi you have been to some amazing concerts! Son saw The Who at T in the Park a few years back whilst battling food poisoning. Nearly phoned for us to pick him up, but stuck it out as he wanted to see them.

So... what bands are you going to see... I just wondered how many of us still go to watch live concerts and whether they are all the "golden oldies" or how many of us like new music too? There is a wealth of talent performing every night across the country in our pubs and clubs.

Well we are waiting to see who is performing at festival in Jersey when we're there on holiday. We may pay that a visit.
Hubby & I still go to the occasional concert, but haven't been to anything in about a couple of years.

My friend wanted me to go and see the Who in July.   Its more her era than mine, but I can't go because I will be away. I would like to have gone to the Isle of Wight festival in 1970, because a lot of people went locally and there was a great line up that year.  What was Jim the lead singer like in the Doors Suzi?  Wasn't he hot before he grew the beard and became overweight?. :-*

The Who are really good. Did you see them at Paralympic closing ceremony? Superb!

I have seen Groove Armada, who are fairly recent, compared to the others ;D  Also Steve Knightly who is in House of ...something or other...can't remember.  The bands locally in pubs are good, but they seem to play the oldies e.g.. Hi Ho Silver Lining!!!
Mumford and Sons are popular and good and also I like some of the hip hop I recently heard in Barbados (not sure the correct terminology these days). I also like Jake Bugg

No I don't go and see new bands Taz. Son used to, but he tends just to buy their CDs and not see live these days. His GF isn't into same music as him and his concert buddy has moved away now.

It's a bit strange the first time you go to see younger bands as it can seem that you are the oldest one there but I much prefer watching young men than old men!  ;D  As I said before I am putting Biffy Clyro on my "to do" list but only if they play a smaller venue.
