My friend wanted me to go and see the Who in July.   Its more her era than mine, but I can't go because I will be away. I would like to have gone to the Isle of Wight festival in 1970, because a lot of people went locally and there was a great line up that year.  What was Jim the lead singer like in the Doors Suzi?  Wasn't he hot before he grew the beard and became overweight?. :-*

I went I was based in Duchess Of Kent Barracks in Portsmouth we got free tickets
It was fab but we had to leave and be back by 11.59pm so no real memories of it
Jim Morrison fkadk he was abso gorg wonderful make you go weak at the knees
OHH he was hoit alright when he did the Lizard wheeeeeeeeeeee
Been to his grave in Paris as has son and dinlaw you have to go its almost a pilgrimage xxx

Boy, do I feel inadequate! Maybe I'd better whisper... (Bay City Rollers!)  But hey, I was about 14 and I loved it! A couple of years ago I went with my daughter to see Boyzone in Cardiff, and it was actually really good!  That's about it though!
ps and I do still listen to my Rollers cd!!

Oh don't feel inadequate. Concerts aren't for everyone, plus they are blooming expensive, well the big named ones are.
Fleetwood Mac tickets are £150 each. I would have got for hubby and I, but when he heard the price he said NO WAY!

Oooh  - I forgot Barclay James Harvest - we used to follow them all over the place back in the early seventies.

It is very costly nowadays as you have to factor in the cost of travel too.

Tickets for Fleetwood Mac start at around £56 for the London gig although you are a long way back but the atmosphere will still be good I would think.

I know what you mean CLKD. Can you do theatres? It's not like you will be standing in a crowd or in the mosh pit. You will be seated.
