Octopius are really fascinating creatures. I wouldn't like to go swimming with one though. You had better not watch this CLKD http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=9yHIsQhVxGM  Octopus escaping from the deck of a boat through a tiny hole.

That was amazing Taz. Both scarey CKLD. On second thoughts, not too worried about octopus, but probably wouldn't want to encounter one whilst swimming and certainly don't like them in batter!   ;D

The intelligent chickens are the ones that manage not to end up as the sunday roast I reckon!

No you won't - they scuttle off and lurk under beds, chairs or pipes.
Last year, or was it the one before, I felt something run over my face when I was in bed.
Flailed around a bit and eventually found large spider.
It ended up flat, I mean,  IT WAS TRYING TO BITE ME
How else do I end up with unexplained blisters?  See blister thread.
Drs and others with experience put it down to spider bites -

I put my dressing gown on the other day and then felt a tickling sensation on at my throat. Brushed it and a HUGE spider went flying across the room. Lucky it wasn't a biting one, Limpy!

I now shake towels, jumpers, socks, slippers - anything that's been on the floor  :o

I had a small one in the car with me as a passenger the other day, I flicked it out of the window then felt guilty  :'(  :-\

The running over the face sensation .....story to tell.

Years ago both of my kids had hamsters. One little blighter kept escaping. One peaceful night both of us sound asleep. Suddenly hubby lunged out of the side of the bed. He gave me such a fright. He was saying ...turn the light on, turn the light on. I did and he sat up in bed holding.....a hamster.  ;D
It had run over me, covered up to my ears and then across hubbies bare chest.

At least it was not a spider. I have had one on my dressing gown too. I have had quite a few biggies in the house over the last few weeks. They make me shudder.

Give me a hamster any time.

Hamsters bite harder than spiders do - I know I've been bitten by both (not at the same time)  :D
