Lamb yummmmmy!  I only get to eat lamb if out for a meal as hubby loathes it.  Think he is actually remembering mutton stew from when he was young which was always really fatty.

Poor man's pizza - gouda cheese, thinly sliced onion and tomato and olives on toast!  It was very nice.

Cubagirl I sometimes have lamb chops when OH has a pork chop. Would that work in your house?

San, if only.  Himself hates chops.  Like a fussy kid he is.  But I can't complain really as he eats just about everything else I give him.

Tonight it's eggs, beans & chips as hubby going to get couple of fillings later this afternoon, so won't be able to eat much else.

I love this thread too! You're welcome, San! I hope you enjoy yours as much as we did tonight. Sometimes it's such a chore deciding what to have, the cooking is the easy part! Which is why this thread is so useful!

I miss British sausages!  :(  And gammon steak!  :(

Made do with rice noodles with garlic, onion and tomato sauted in oil.  Quite nice - I haven't tried noodles before (at home).  I was impressed because you don't have to cook them, just pour boiling water over them and leave for 3-4 minutes.

Tonight- mushroom soup, homemade bread, pork with apple jus and crushed potatoes followed by fruits of the forest brûlée.
I wish I could pretend I made any of the above but we are away for a couple of days and it was hotel food!!!!
Feeling very full now but very grateful I am not washing up all those pots and pans!

How about this CG for posh.

Tender pork loin minced and seasoned and then wrapped in a delicate butter puff pastry. Twice fried pomme frites and cannelloni beans in a delicated flavoured sun-dried tomato sauce.

In other words

Sausage Rolls chips and beans  ;D ;D ;D

Having a cant be bothered day as far as cooking is concerned.
