Hot and heavy - mostly sunny and warm still - we desperately need some rain as the garden is dry as a bone. Has been intermittently cloudy and quite windy but this has now eased. Yes I hear we're having another Spanish plume next week - will be uncomfy at night!

My runner beans & tomatoes need a good drop of rain - it will save me having to water them every day.

Our toms haven't grown an inch!  They are stuck at 5" tall ……. beans are OK as there's enough dew in that part of the garden to keep them going.  Some overnight rain would be very welcome!

My tommies are big but green - runners are bootiful but drying up now. We usually get a second lot come in September. I have frozen some of them as they all came at once - hopefully have some with our Christmas dinner.

Bootiful - yep.  We cook a lot at a time then cool them, make up a garlic oil dressing and eat them cold - delicious  ;)
