Beautifully hot and sunny this morning in another cloudless sky - but around 2.30 it began to cloud over, got very dark and we have had a few thunderclaps, a few drops of rain (I mean just a few), which has now stopped. Desperately need a downpour for the garden!

Drizzly and grey...........the sort of weather I love when we visit the Highlands and the hills are half-shrouded in mist.  It's that evocative mixture of greys, greens and browns that you see and the smells it brings out of wet grass, peat and sometimes even a smokery, if you're lucky.  If I can't make it to the Highlands, this weather reminds me of them..... :)
