Hi Ayesha
It will be so useful
I always feel on “the back foot” when I’m at the GP I’m not usually a submissive person and can hold my own in any argument but this has taken all the fight out of me
I’ve recently been put onto Vagifem post op previously I was on Intrarosa after a long history of problems but my gynaecologist wanted me to retry vagifem as he felt it more suitable. I have to give it 3 months so currently trying to cope with some negative effects which I hope will pass 🤞
Just a thought how would I access a downloadable copy that I could print ??

I should have mentioned it was a telephone review which probably made it more easy on the nerves although I was very anxious as I thought another battle on my hands. You seem to have a good Gynae there with sound advice given I feel and your GP should go by their advice.

I printed the document from the link, it was straight forward to do it that way as I have a printer.

I've been on vagifem since 2021 and evorel conti since 2022.
Up until now vagifem has worked well, although I've had to reload on a few occasions. However atm, I've done a 2 week reload, but still getting bladder symptoms, so am continuing with daily until I see Gp in two weeks.

Hi shoefreak - correct.  As our hormones rise and fall the body may become drier: inside and out; ears, nostrils, skin, scalp, vagina, between the toes  ::)

Have U thought to take some pain relief to help the symptoms?  Also mayB add a vagifem in the morning as well as at night for 3 mornings?  We have threads on VA all over the Forum!

I am not a doctor but have had dryness for years and on our intermittent occasions and in between  coconut  oil  which is hard in Cold weather works perfectly . 5 pound tub in Waitrose last ages but can get cheaper . Always use virgin coconut .Stays lubricated and just smells great. I can’t recommend safely but for me it is a wonder. Beats anything else for lubricant .

Hi there
I have been using Ovestin for 10 years plus...
Had a long bout of UTI's in April and was referred to the gynae dept and finally got my appointment today.
Although the itching has subsided she suggested I use an estrogen ring and could fit one, I could also do it myself at a later date. The estrogen does not go directly into the blood stream (like Ovestin) I was a bit hesitant, it lasts 3 months and then I could stop using the Ovestin she said..
I can't see what I would gain although she stated that the ring would make sex more comfortable. You could not feel it but would combat any dryness in the vagina and bladder.
Another suggestion was to keep using the Ovestin and increase it to 3 times a week.
Anyone used these rings and have any input :-\ ???
Thanks
