In between working I've done the gardening, cleared the wash bin so I could hangout the washing and sat watching Out the birds with a cup of tea and biscuits.
I've enjoyed more than I did back in June. Not as humid here ... Would like to see some rain though

I'm not finding the heat as hard to cope with as back in June but spend my day followng the shade around - thankfully we have a cool house. However, I was thinking yesterday how much I miss the sound of rain.  :sigh:

Because the sun is lower in the sky at this time of year it is not so blazing hot as it can be in June, so it is better tolerated.  Also we don't get those stifling, sticky nights.

It is strange to be sitting out in the garden in short sleeves with ice creams and the dog panting, whilst at the same time the leaves are falling steadily from the trees, almost surreal.

It is forecast to turn on Tuesday and be down to 14 in our parts by Thursday, but it was a nice respite before the winter.

Sitting next to my radiator as I'm so cold.  Can't believe this change in weather.  Last week we hit 22 degrees here, today in single figures!
