Although it's hot there isn't the humidity that we had a few months back. Maybe because the sun is slightly lower ?

Dyan go to your happy place ... Rolling naked in the snow  ;D the thought will hopefully cool you down  ;)

28C on the sunny East Anglian coast today.  The thermometer in my garden (south facing and in full sun)  read 40C most of the afternoon.  Absolutely unbelieveable for the end of September.

Himself and I have sat in the shade all afternoon, him reading, me dozing or watching the wild birds and chickens.  Even the kitten slept in the sun from mid-morning, didn't hear a peep from her until tea time  ;D

Join the club - I'm a fidget too Taz.   Even on holiday I have to be up and doing and exploring.

Ha ha! I love the sun this time of year when it is normal September temperatures. This hotter spell has made me realise this. I love real September days so it must be the length of day in the summer I don't like plus the extra heat. At least it is still darker in the mornings when I get up which is Autumny. I am sure that my time will come....  >:D

Yes sadly your right Taz .. I will soon hibernate again..  ;D Its strange as you said somewhere else you see this as a start to the year and I see Spring as a start.. were you born in the Autumn time? I was born in April and Its sometimes said we like the time of year we were born..

I was born in February. I have always loved the autumn and winter but I don't think it is to do with hot or cold - I reckon it is to do with daylight. I have been researching this out of curiosity and there is a "reverse seasonal affected disorder" where people become depressed and gloomy when the days lengthen instead of the other way round. I have always thought I was back to front!

I know what you mean Taz. I don't like the extremely dark days of December, but neither do I like the longest summer days as I get restless, so spring and autumn suit me best - sort of middling.

I don't like this weird hot weather that we're getting at the moment either.
