I hope the hill has been gritted which it normally is on a weekday as the village school is not far from us.
There are a few cars moving and the postman has been.
Really got to get out for the essentials.....milk.....wine.

Woke up to high winds ( the garden is a wreck) and a snow blizzard.
It must have got warmer now as the snow has almost gone and it is raining, but still high winds.
Hot chocolate today I think.

Still snowing heavily here and not to stop until tomorrow sometime.
Got all the essentials in including a nice bottle of red wine.
Got to get your priorities right.
The local roads are terrible and lots are closed.
It's meant to be spring.

I live just south of Cambridge and no snow today, thank goodness. But my poor daughter who is 7 mths pregnant and has a toddler, living in Leeds - it is dreadful up there - a lot of snow and more forecast.

Froze waiting for bus after getting haircut. Only one bus can get me home and earlier one went through early and next one was late!
Got the wine in though! Well one has to prioritise!

Still snowing, it's so unusual here as we are on the coast.
Our road is now impassable except if you have a 4x4.
All tucked up an hoping the lights don't go off as its blowing a gale.

Lights keep flashing but we have had dinner so not too worried. Hubby really needs a proper meal as he is diabetic. I heard on the news that one of the islands just off our coast will not have power restored for at least three days. I have family there who I am sure are treating it as an adventure. They are those kind of people. Me......I need my hairdryer.
Keep warm every one..winter is not done with us yet.

Candles at the ready then HB. Hard to believe it's the end of March with this terrible weather. Son's waiting until later on tomorrow to head up the road. Hopefully worst of weather will have shifted on a bit. My brother is supposed to be up here this weekend. Haven't heard from him, so hope they've decided to stay at home.
I've only just thawed out after trip to town today.
Stay warm!

It wasn't supposed to snow in Hampshire but it's really throwing it down. I'm supposed to be going to Suffolk for a wedding - shall I ... shan't I... that is the question.

Just up and can't quite believe what I am seeing. It has snowed all night.
I can't even let the dog out, she would just sink and disappear. I would say in the drifts it is about a foot deep. The cars can't move at all.
What a shame about the wedding Taz. What do the road reports say?
I need to try and get out and clear the bird feeders as everything is covered.
It's still snowing.

It is really confusing because the snow was supposed to reach the London area from the east but according to my niece it is only snowing a little but I'm listening to Radio Suffolk and they are forecasting snow later. I'm only going for the evening part so was going to pop up around 3ish and come home about 9. Don't want to get stuck up there as I'm picking son up from heathrow tomorrow morning!

The weather reports for us have been patchy. It has said all through this that we are to get light snow showers.....ummm no.
I have rarely seen it like this here.
Don't take any chances Taz. It could all have cleared by the time you have to leave. So much for a spring wedding.
Guess I won't be going anywhere today. Did not really have any plans, I just hate not having the option.

We're fairing much better. Very windy and very cold, but only flurries of snow pellets. However checked the road reports and it is snowing a short distance from us. Mainly the country routes which are really bad.
Hope the bride & groom make it for their wedding Taz. You probably don't need me to tell you to be safe, but I will anyway. x
