Taz - is his bag small enough to count as hand luggage, or did he go mad and take enough for it to need checking in?

The first time he went he only had hand luggage but since then he does take enough to check in but it is still about a quarter of what I would have to take!  He's just taken off en route to Tampa so he's nearly there.

Thanks for the update on Scottish weather HB. Head home to freezing north today. Guess I will see blizzards on way back like I did on way down. Brrrrrrr

They will be nice and fresh though. Love smell of washing which has been out in the cold, fresh air.

It's been raining and snowing here. The garden is just a sea of mud but I almost popped down here for the weekend http://www.woolacombe-surfboard-hire.co.uk/index.php?main_page=page&id=13&zenid=0ac474ed187c389c328fac065edd8fbf   Sunshine at the minute - bad choice to stay home!

At least 1" fell yesterday then began to thaw rapidly mid-afternoon, some left and it was sharp frost over-night: we woke to thick fog, sun broke through about 10.30 a.m.

Got some snow, but nowhere near to the 4 inches plus they have predicted, unless it comes during the night.

Today looks like it's going to be awful. We're still dry, but strong wind. Worried about son heading home tomorrow from Notts. Weather looks bad down there. I know he's sensible, but his new car is rear wheel drive and will be useless in snow.

Hope he's ok CG. Does he have to come back? It's not looking good for later today and tonight.

Just seen forecast for tomorrow. Not quite as bad. He could come back on Sunday I suppose. He's back at work Monday. But the long drive took it out of him going down due to his Addisons.  He doesn't trust his GF to drive on big motorways especially with this car.  It's fine up our way, well so far.  He went down the M6, partly because he's done the route before. I expect he may well come back that way too.

Hope they get home ok CG.

It's very heavy snow here today. DD and I got up at 6am as she has an early class on a Friday. Took one look out the window and then went back to bed.
Funny thing is there is no lying snow at my mum's which is about 15 miles from us.
Just wondering now if we will be able to get to the shops for a few bits as we live in the country side up a bloomin great hill.

Honeyb - you'll probably be ok going down the hill, assuming you can stop at the end.  :-\
It's the getting back up that we have problems with.

It is 0C here today, very windy, had snowed during the night but is now sleeting.
Supposed to snow again tonight and tomorrow morning.
Fortunately got food shopping in yesterday - phew
Fed up with this weather, it's March, what's going on?
