17 degrees last tuesday, minus 2 today.

Daughter had to walk 3 miles home from work as her car was snowbound and cars and buses were skidding and stuck all over the roads :(

Many drivers stuck over-night in Kent and Sussex in deep snow  :o
Grey skies now.  Earlier it was snowing from a blue sky.  Bitter wind ...........

Last week 10 deg and Spring had Sprung.
2 days ago, -6 and winter had returned.
my friend had frozen underground water pipes!
Back to 5deg and sunshine today.

Let's hope the Spring weather manages to beat the Winter weather (which it will of course at some point  ;D).  I see them vying for position at the moment.
I have winter tyres on and not changing them until I am sure who has won the battle.

Away from home, but been reliably informed that there was bad snow there this morning and it's heavy snow again just now. Mind you not much warmer down where I am as DD's heating not working! Sitting just now with a blanket round me.

My son's on his way to Florida for a week to catch up with his girlfriend. It's 72 at the minute and supposed to be 84 by Tuesday. After a week battling the wind and snow flurries and standing on freezing train station platforms he couldn't wait to get to Heathrow!

Oh Taz, how lovely for him - no room in his suitcase?  Although you like the cool weather, but I could have done with going.  ;D

Suitcase? He is a bloke - you can imagine how small his bag is for just a week!! He travels light!  He's currently texting me from Washington Airport where he has a five hour layover - how boring is that! Cheapest route even though it makes the journey from Heathrow to Tampa 17 hours long. A straight through is around 10 I think. Still needs must in this economic climate.
