Phew! ;D
It breaks your heart when they go.
I think we will have another dog at some point.I wouldn't mind a kitten now though...............don't know what DH would think to that..........

2 then - we had 2 ginger brothers who would play with DH all evening and curl up with him, rarely with me - unless he wasn't at home  ;D.  Had they lived they would have been HUGE  :o

I can't face going through it all again : >sigh< and as it's is pouring out there, am glad I don't have to  ;)

Oh it's over 20 years for me and I have sudden moments of missing them ……… [20+ years, 14/15 and 13] ……. the pain isn't present all the while now but a corner of my heart holds each 1 of them.

I am tearing up reading these, i have a special place in my garden with about 5 cats in it, and 4 in other places,
My little dogs ashes are on a cabinet with 2 photo's of her
I really believe this place exists, because my dad told us he had been to this place and described it in detail, the very bright flowers, the very green grass and blue sky
He said it was in a lovely  dream, but asked when the 26th of May was, how long to that date
He was the most cynical person you could find about any afterlife,
He passed away suddenly on the 26th of May,
It does bring me comfort to know and believe i will meet all my lovely pets and family once again
So sorry for your loss Briony,i still miss my dog and can still get upset if anyone mentions her, lost her in August

I would love the believe that Rainbow Bridge existed.  How wonderful to be reunited with all the pets that have given us so much joy.  I would give anything to hold my boy again, my heart aches at the fact he's not here.
I have both of my cats in their little boxes at home and my boy (dog) is in his box in the living room, tucked away with his favourite toy.  I also have an ashes ring, his name tattooed on my foot and a wonderful portrait painted of him.  Yes, I really went to town but, for me, it was the right thing to do.

Jellyb, i also went to town a bit,i have a painted portrait of her,[painted before i lost her, and she is on my key rings too, also a bit of her fur and ashes beside my bed in a little glass container
That is her on my profile, she was so sweet and my cats didn't mind her either, or she them, even when my boy cats swiped at her sometimes, she would give a little growl and ignore him

I have my Molly in the bedroom, her ashes anyway. With a photo of her, and one on a canvas on the wall above my dressing table.
I can't and won't keep her forever, so we've decided that when the dog we have now, passes on, we?re going to scatter them together somewhere. It gives us peace of mind that if they?re together, the dog we have now will look after Molly, she was timid and shy, whereas, the one we have now, has more about her and will protect her.
That's in our minds anyway! Silly really. ☹️

jaycee & jillydoll - that's nice, we keep them near us don't we.
I know it sounds silly, but since my boy passed, whenever I am walking our other dog, we always seem to see a robin.  And he's not shy, comes quite close and follows us for a while.  I say hello and talk to it as if it's my boy, I couldn't tell anyone else this, they'd think I'm nuts.

Of course not silly.  Silly ;-).  If it helps come to terms with loss then what ever it takes!

DH hadn't remembered that ours went to RB 18 years ago today  :'(

I found 3 lots of fur recently in a corner of the cupboard but can't remember which cat is belongs to  :'(
