I didn't watch the first one but I'm hoping I can kind of catch up.

I may have to ask questions  ::)

This series seems to be following on from the murder of Danny in series 1 and the fallout from that, with the addition of a previous case that David Tennant's character worked on that was referred to in series one and seems to be the cause of a sort of post traumatic stress that he suffers from.

I think watching this series without being familiar with series one could cause some confusion.

Hi Babyjane, I think you are right. I watched the first series but was struggling to remember some of the 'goings-on' from before. I seem to remember Danny's father had been having an affair with the blonde woman who ran the hotel, that was why Beth was unsettled when she turned up in court.

I think to watch the whole of series 1 on a box set and then start watching series 2 would be ideal for anyone who missed the first series.

They have made several ending to this series just in case anything is leaked out, even the actors don't know the ending to this one.

I can't work out whether he has pleaded not guilty because he didn't do it or because it didn't happen the way he confessed to.
