I had another friend who had it done but it didn't take so she had to have a bone graft from her hip into her mouth in order to proceed. She is pleased with the result but it took a couple of years to get it right.

I've had to stop the Flagyl as I started the all over rash and itching and headache yesterday. Was ok, apart from splitting skin on hands and feet and oral thrush, last time but this time it's got me! Anyway, dentist has put out a prescription for Pencillin V which I have to go and pick up tomorrow (will be late for work again!) and hopefully that might sort it before my appointment on Friday.

Hope you get through to your dentist tomorrow.

It just seems to be dragging on, i spoke with my doctor today, she wasn't prepared to give another anti-b, but dentist has x-rayed and examined it? But this is been since mid october? Nearly 3 months now. Bet they charge too.

Top Right - the final tooth along that side before the Wisdom sockets.  So there will be a gap of at least 4 teeth which is why I've booked for the extraction [18th] - then proceed hopefully without involving my pelvis!  I was watching a programme last night  ........  , nothing  :-\ ??? [where did that come from] I meant 'another' thread me thinks ;-)

Good luck CLKD - I think you are very brave. I must admit that I have always used the "can't afford it" excuse but I wonder whether, even if I could, I would go ahead with it. Trouble is with me - I have no patience!

Tooth extraction tomorrow so long as these sniffles don't turn into a cold.  Then big discussion with Dentist [nearly said Vet but that's another story  ::) ] and Hubby says to go for it.  If the first implant takes I will have the 2nd ..... maybe, perhaps, maybe not  :-X - Hubby is having the day off to take me and bring me home to administer to my every need  :-*

Implants honestly aren't too bad at all, CLKD.  I had one last October.   Had abscess, followed by extraction, followed by infection, long story.   But the implant bit was the easiest of all of it!  Except for the cost :o

That's encouraging news Crescent - perhaps I would be brave enough after all if I win the lottery (which I always forget to buy a ticket for)  ;D
