I have started to use 100mcg Estradot patches and I feel as though I absorb too much too quickly and then it just wears off slowly until I apply the next patch. I have tried to experiment a little and I've cut the patch into 4 quarters and am applying a quarter of a 100mcg patch daily, which works out as the 2 x 100mcg patches per week. I just wondered if anyone else is doing this or tried it?

I feel as though I have a steady dose from it, I change at 3.5 days. I found I absorbed more from it than evorel and oestrogel. Perhaps you'd be better with gel that you apply daily?

I use one Estradot 37.5 patch plus half a37.5 patch (56 in total) but I change it every 2 days as it does not last 3/4 days with me personally.  It's literally taken ages to get to this point where I feel constantly level.  I find for me personally these patches work far better than either Oestrogel or Lenzetto or Everol.  As I said it has taken a long time to find my personal 'sweet spot' .  I hope you find yours very soon too. x

I have tried Oestrogel, but I found that it was giving me anxiety, even when I just tried a very small amount. I will need to have a good think about what to do next!

Ah OK, so you have the same kind of issue too then! That is a very good idea about changing every 2 days... I think I do need to experiment and you've given me ideas, so thanks!

You could try Sandrena gel or lenzetto spray if you want something you can apply daily.

I think that is a good idea to try Sandrena gel. I always feel as though I'm being a pain, asking for different medication from the doctor all the while, but I suppose this is what people have to do.

Due to the shortages I kept getting estradot substituted for other products and found that I absorbed estraderm much more evenly.  I liked the smaller size of the estradot, but for me that was the only advantage.  Estraderm are big and not the nicest texture (a bit crinkly) and I hated them at first as a result, but I don't get any skin irritation and also feel on more of an even keel.  The GP was convinced I shouldn't notice any difference (75mcg is 75mcg), but I'm sure there is.  Good luck finding the product that works best for you.
