Shortage of General Practitioners
« on: September 11, 2021, 07:39:31 AM »

As 4cast several years ago, due to those who trained then went into Practice in the 1980s, retirement and stress are causing a shortage of Doctors across the UK.  What I would like to see from the Surgeries is information stating how this will impact on each area and how patients can help .  DH and I fortunately, remain well.  I get an annual review with my GP and a 6 monthly discussion on the 'phone with the pharmacist to discuss my medication.

They continue to triage by 'phone initially, followed by the GP phoning the patient  ::).  Because of this, in many areas A&E is very busy.

Several years ago the government of the day promised 20,000 more nurses.  That didn't happen!
