Hi!  after a dull beginning to the day the sun came out ; then the wind blew hard for a couple of hours ; after lunch it was calm and sunny.  I slept. Well.  Lots of fish caught and returned ;-)

Well THAT'S what I call scenery  ;D ........ is that snow left from last year or freshly laid recently?

I've decided to skip C.mas this year  ;)

Due to heavy rain le Giro have been moved by coach cutting down the race distance ....... wimps  ;D

Competing in heavy rain can cause riders, whose immune systems may already be compromised by excessive exertion, to become unwell as dirt and bacteria from the road is sprayed through the peloton.

Many riders are concerned it will increase the risk of contracting coronavirus.

Ineos Grenadiers tweeted: "The start of stage 19 has been delayed and will be shortened following discussions with the race organisers.

"Our riders [are] currently covering the first part of the stage on the team bus."

I was in awe - couldn't believe that I was actually there.  I walked by la Scala several times not realising that it's an ordinary looking building: until 1 gets inside  :-*.  A few of us were invited by local Italian lads to get into the Cathedral by a side door; well no  :-\ - we didn't have cardigans on to cover our shoulders so were stopped at the main door.   We also saw The Last Supper which is quite small  8)

Looking forwards to La Veulta later.

what happened to the rider [Jay McCarthy? ] who landed in a field in a crumpled heap with his cycle even further into the field  :o yesterday?  It looked more like a MotoGP accident  ???  :o

Lovely shot of Rodjec [sp] with the sunshine behind as he drove to the win, would be a lovely poster 4 my bedroom  ;D

Enjoying the hi-lights, wonder if it will snow during today's route?  Madrid tomorrow, then that's it until the Spring.
