Hi pricey - I thought I had already replied to you - I think I'm losing track of your posts and threads and where I've responded!
I doubt very much there is any risk of infection from using vaginal utrogestan whoile bleeding. Where are you imagining you might get infected? As long as your hands are clean when you insert it as with all vaginal products that should be fine on that score. The only thing is if you are bleeding heavily the flow may wash the prog/capsule out before it is absorbed but I wouldn't have thought this would happen with spotting. I get your point though - I have never used vag Utro when bleeding as my bleed has never come before I've finished the utro - but I am post-menopausal.
OK so how long have you been taking the oestrogen before starting this course of utro? If you are peri ( sorry can;t remember) then if your cycle kicks in this could cause bleeding at the "wrong" time.
In the medium term I would try to get settled on a 28 day or monthly cycle and hope the bleed becomes predictable. In the short term - depending how long you have been on oestrogen only before this course - well just do another couple of days (of the 12 day course) maybe which will take you to 4th Feb and then only a week to go before speaking to your doc? Just a suggestion.
So sorry you are down about this. Make sure you write everything down - when you take what and how (vag or oral), and the bleeds etc and other symptoms how you are feeling - so that you have it all ready for when s/he calls.
Stopping hRT completely doesn't seem like the way to go if you are having menopausal symptoms but finding the right regime is crucial!
Hang in there pricey and hopefully you will get sorted soon
