Same old same old. Is this about the contestants or the judges? You decide. The contestants always work hard as do the members of the orchestra however to me the judges always have the same gimmicks year in year out. The costumes are nice and give interesting viewing.  ;)

Yep.  That's what makes it a family show.  For those tuning in for the 1st time it would be novel.  Craig RH is the same, all part of the 'act'.

Makes me almost want to wear a frock and pearls  ;D

We're going to a 21st this evening so won't be able to watch the show live.
So I'll be watching it on catch up and trying to avoid any spoilers !

The thing that irritates me about Strictly (I do actually love this programme) is the amount of ‘padding' there is; the celebrities constantly talking about their nerves and how thrilled they are to be part of this experience etc. Some of the silly excursions set up on the basis that this will help them with the dance routines are now so predictable.  I'm a great believer in ‘less is more'. Yes, we want to know a bit about the contestants and the background stuff but that is what 'It takes Two' is about - I want to see them dancing.

Does anyone else cringe at all this unnecessary stuff?

BTW - a good bunch of contestants this year - it's going to be interesting.

Yes some of the excursions are a bit silly but there is something in giving the professional dancer a taste of being a beginner in a new skill to remind them how hard it is to learn something from scratch. I also like it when young children are brought into the training room to see their parent/relative dance and give them moral support. I predict that Susannah is the most likely to be voted out first but could be wrong.

Looking forward to tonight but I think that the person going home will be the same one that would have gone home last week unless she has been given bendy and hip wiggling injections

Watched it for the first time last night after reading this thread and I'm hooked. I think the last couple on were best,  but I suppose that could change. How many weeks is it on for?

as happens every single year we have people with huge dance experience dancing against people who have never danced in their lives.

Whatever way I look at it this cannot be fair.   That blonde woman Ashley somebodyorother has danced all her life. Several others have loads of dance experience too.

There has to be a few people with dancing experience otherwise the programme might not go the whole run  ;D ........... they also have to be able to walk across the room in those heels and that's the men  ;)

I didn't watch much last night as we were out at a meal together  :-*.  It is Light Entertainment. Something we can watch with Granny ........

Mid December! They will have to be fit to last that long, it looks exhausting.
