I felt a lump in the breast whilst bathing.  My Surgeon told me it was non-sinister but had to be removed.  Subsequent surgery, lump benign clinically but at histology was found to have changes at the margins.  So I had further surgery to clean out the area, some lymph glands were removed and were found to be 'clear' at histology, precautionary radiation treatment.  Job Done!  My breast looked as though I had sat in the sun on one side

...... I had annual mammograms and regular check-ups ....... once I got going with the treatment recommended and because the Surgeon and Oncologist were so positive, I never worried much.
It is surprising what we deal with when we have to, it's the niggling in the middle of night brain whizzing round that is more difficult!
