What could it be ?  What did you read that scares you the most?  I remember that 'full' feeling around the bladder, bowel, lower belly  :(

As most people I am scared if it's anything sinister as I don't know how I would cope with it.

Many of us have similar worries but personally, when faced with cancer treatment I coped.  I had a good Surgeon, a good Team and a supportive husband.  I took a list of my fears with me to discuss prior to any surgery so that I was clear in my mind about the whys and wherefores.

Yep.  My worst fear after diagnosis was the panic attacks would stop me getting to the apps., of which there were many in the following 2 years  ::) but I was riding on adrenaline ....... it surprised me as to what I accepted once push came to shove !!!

I felt a lump in the breast whilst bathing.  My Surgeon told me it was non-sinister but had to be removed.  Subsequent surgery, lump benign clinically but at histology was found to have changes at the margins.  So I had further surgery to clean out the area, some lymph glands were removed and were found to be 'clear' at histology, precautionary radiation treatment.  Job Done!  My breast looked as though I had sat in the sun on one side  ::) ...... I had annual mammograms and regular check-ups ....... once I got going with the treatment recommended and because the Surgeon and Oncologist were so positive, I never worried much.

It is surprising what we deal with when we have to, it's the niggling in the middle of night brain whizzing round that is more difficult!

Anxiety feeds itself  ::).  I used to feel weird around the groin area when bleeding, like it was full or like it was being pressed on ..... all kinds of odd feelings.  Which would go once the period stopped and I would forget: until the next month rolled round  ::)

Are you taking a list of your concerns to the appt.?

Have not slept well the last few nights as worried about what the may find today. I know I have fibroids and multi cyst on one of my ovaries as have 2 ultrasound already. I am worried about the recent bleed and the pains I am getting.

Well had my ultrasound done today which has now revealed that my wall lining is 10.4mm thick and one of my fibroids is rather large which could have caused the bleed. Had to have a camera inserted today and took a swab from my womb and looked at the fibroid which have been told it needs to come out so now got to wait to have an op done under a general.

If you have questions prior to surgery, take them along at next visit!  How do you feel?

Worried still especially about the womb lining being thick as I seem  to have more risk factors about developing cancer as I am overweight although I am losing weight slowly and also never has children and have an under active thyroid.
