ha ha - cat/cow - silly names for simple poses.  On all fours, arch your back like a cat, head down, then lift head and arch the back the other way - cow (?) not sure why ha ha

Best to YouTube an example if you want to try it, but it really does gently give space along the spine and into the hips and pelvis.

Sciatica is awful, had me more in tears than the gallstone pain!

I got mine from sleeping on a too hard bed in a hotel, had a numb leg the next day and then it came and went over several months and then got really bad. In the end just bearing through the pain and gentle walking got rid of it and touch wood has been okay since.

Another exercise you could do is to lie on your back and do a pelvic tilt, this also opens the bottom of the spine and if you pull your tummy muscles in at the same time is good for them as well.

 ;D:thankyou:

I found that bending over cabinets at antique fairs caused pulling on the thighs ………. which caused intense, deep pain when in bed enough to make me shout out silently  :-\ ……….
