The trick is to match pheasant - which can cook dry - with something succulent  ;) - perhaps practice before the Big Day?

Will need to check butchers in town, local one just stocks the usual stuff. Thanks for the idea though.

Our butcher has a list of things you can order for the day, with prices, and that includes mutiple bird things, stuffed things and deboned turkey things.

My dad swears by the Aldi one.  We had it once at his, and it was nice, but I am not sure I would go for it for Christmas, unless I was trying to do an easy Christmas.  We usually have a duck from the butcher.
