Just looked at the first post on this November 2014 and loved CLKD's stressco comment. Definitely getting earlier as the years have rolled by. They will soon be advertising at Easter!! OR we will just keep everything up all year. Do you think it would make us happy seeing twinkling lights peeked through the windows of houses which is one part of Christmas I do love

The only thing I like about Xmas is the twinkling lights, and candles.
We put our tree up about two weeks before, then it's took down on the 1st...
Can't be doing with it.....lol

Every year, I mean to get all the decorations out, sort through them and send most of them to the Hospice Shop.  It never happens because I put it off.

I have gone through red/gold phases, silver/icy blue phases, snowball and icicle phases and I think someone else could benefit from them now.

So thank you for this thread.  It has reminded me.

I hate this thread!!!!! Well at least reviving it in September!

Not because I hate Christmas - I love it - but it really is absurd to even contemplate it until December! We spend too much time discussing and thinking about it, and it really is not relevant to these beautiful autumn days.

I hate Christmas too,
Now the kids have grown up, I'd love to go away for it,
But it's so expensive, OH just wouldn't pay it, so I have to put up with it.
And yes I know it's Christmas everywhere, but it's not so rammed down your throat in other countries.......( well, it seems that way anyway)lol

Himself wants to spend it here  .......... but I won't tell Mum until after her birthday in mid-November 

Shops are full of 'stuff' already.  I will jump up and down if they begin playing muzac early
