I got the cards from the attic earlier  now I have to raise the energy to write some.

We used to have lots of decorations, a huge tree, outdoor lights the whole works when the children were little but as we now go away after Christmas we have scaled it all back.

I did however buy a 2ft pre lit white  tree today as youngest DGS couldn't understand why we didn't have tree last year. It's now on the coffee table in the conservatory just need to get the fairy lights out and few decorations but that won't be happening until mid December at least more likely the weekend before Christmas.

A girl after my own heart Lanzalover ( hope you don't mind being called that?!). We are the same - put up the tree as near as possible to Christmas Eve - otherwise how is it special? I used to get nagged by the children when they were small but they got used to it being close to Christmas and made it all the more exciting. I now wait until most of them have come back so that they can help decorate it.  Always a real one....Two years ago I bought a potted one from Tesco, kept it in the pot and used it last year, repotted it and it is still just about serviceable this year. Then I'll plant it in the ground and hopefully will stay in shape so I can cut it next year so that will be 4 years for £20 and then it will be used as kindling to keep us warm...

Mine are kept up with the decs in the loft so by the time I get the decs down it's too late to post them honestly 🤣 x

one year the mice ate the cards along with the wrapping paper so I invested in plastic storage boxes so can't use that excuse now 😁 perks of country living lol x
