Mine was because in part of my birthday date 1st November.. I was supposed to have been born on Halloween, (but mother couldn't get her ass in gear..) 1st Nov is all saints day but I relate to Halloween and witches better, and then there's my love of cats... always had 'em, until recently we had 4 Siameses, sadly now down to 2, hubby says when they've gone we shall have a dog. Not had a mutt since 2000 when our Sheltie died aged 17. So Witches Cat I am...

Love it CG
I chose my fairy name, I got
My fairy name is
Gentle Agaricweb
She brings hallucinations. She lives in villages and even in bold city places. She can only be seen in the mist of an early morning. She wears brightly coloured stripy clothes like a bee and has russet-coloured wings like a brightly coloured butterfly.

Got it!
babyjane has links to my childhood which is best left for my own peace of mind. My paternal grandmother and her family line were from Ireland and a large part of my gene pool comes from her and my father.
So I think it's time I grew up and 'celtic lady' has a nice ring to it.
what do you think?

Now I like this and think the wind part is very apt
My fairy name isBindweed WindfilterShe brings gentle breezes to change the weather. She lives at the bottom of tangled gardens and in hedgerows. She can only be seen on midsummer's eve. She wears tangled multicoloured skirts made of petals and has silvery lilac butterfly wings.

I like it babyjane!
Just done my fairy name. Meadow Vinetree, meaning I bring couples together, live in fields where wild trees & poppies grow, can only be seen when first leaves fall from the trees. I wear a skirt of red petals & have gentle green butterfly wings.
Now I love Autumn, so being seen when leaves fall sounds about right for me.
Sorry Hattie, I've taken this a bit off track.

It took a little while but I finally worked out how to change my name. I will remove the babyjane bit after a few days but didn't want anyone to have to ask 'whatever happened to babyjane'

This is fun
I have just put my full name in instead of my abbreviated name and its come up with
Heather Agaricfly
She brings hallucinations. She lives close to ancient monuments and stone circles. She can only be seen at midday under a quiet, cloudless sky. She wears pale blue like the sky and has russet-coloured wings like a brightly coloured butterfly.
I like the sound of that much better can't see myself at all in bright stripy clothes
