I've got 2 cook my own meal this evening ....... that is, bring a pot of rice to the boil and watch carefully, then push 'go' on the microwave and hopefully, I'll get a a curry with rice ........ oh I have to strain the rice and pour boiled water over it: watch this space :

   :-\.  I did survive even though I didn't heat it through as hot as I would have liked.  Apparently I needed to push 3 rather than 'go'.   :'(. Rice was OK though  ;D

DH cooked diced chicken, ginger, garlic, chopped potatoes, freshly dug leeks .......... stuffed now.

pumpkins. DO NOT carve and throw away, take out the middles to cook with!    1.8M will be left in UK fields this year due to not being able to sell them or because the ground is too wet to get the contractors on to pick them.

That's fields that could be used for other food stuffs !!! as well as in the Fens the pumpkins lay in puddles due to no longer having fallow years.  Buy your pumpkins, they keep for months in a cool place.  When cut in half they keep, 'fruit' side down on a plate, for weeks.  Ours didn't grow as well this year we have had 3 - 2 eaten 1 left on the vine to turn orange.

There are many different shapes too.  Chickens will peck at the skins if they aren't roasted enough to eat yourself.

I had pasta in a tomato sauce and a bread roll.
Hubby had cawl ( welsh word for soup or stew) And soda bread .
My nephews had chicken korma!

All different tonight,  I can’t eat the same as the others so I always end up making several different things !!
