Perhaps all he had to do, was be male and be in the vicinity of the barracks......

Heard on the news today that the police can't interview the attackers until they are well enough to be discharged from hospital.
It doesn't seem right that they are treated with such consideration.

It's because any evidence they gather wont be admissable in court if taken while they were under the influence of drugs. No point in gathering the evidence if it can't be used I suppose.

I assume that when these "xxx!!!'s" are discharged from hospital, they will be thrown behind bars and not sent home to recuperate

Oh yes they will be sent to prison and be given sky tv in their rooms and every other privilege in case we contravene their human rights. Can't have them suffer now can we.

..... and me.  Why were they shot in the legs, do the Police need evidence about other aspects of this event?  None of us know how we would react when faced with such horrors.

I am glad they did not kill them. They need to be punished. I suspect they will be in solitary for ever.

Even criminals have a code of what is accepted and this is not.

I think they assumed that they would be killed and would die as martyrs so I agree with you HB.  BUT it costs a lot to keep people in jail for life.  Should we be paying for that?  No easy answer

It is unusual to have the perpetrators of such a crime to still be alive. Normally the honour is in dying for the cause so they kill someone but then also kill themselves. This is an opportunity for the police to find out just what was behind this particular killing.

No we should not be paying for them to stay in luxury for the term handed by the Judge.  Maybe a small open boat in the Bay of Biscay would suit

I heard a view today, that they should be used for medical experiments.
Of course, they would be well looked after, so no possibility of cruelty......

Probably more than they deserve.
