I agree with you cubagirl. What people want to know for example......is it clean ,is it comfortable, is the food up to standard etc.......Not for example, do the coat hangers match.....I would think we all just want value for money, and if we want a sea view or tea facilities in our room, that's what we should get.
So if you are happy with everything, then it's nice to let others know.
If something isn't right when you arrive, then be fair and let the owners try to put things right.
I agree with this.

I always leave a review on Trip Advisor (and any others I come across). I also always read up about a hotel and resort before we go there and have to say I have never been disappointed. If the same things keep coming up like run down area, awful food, horrible staff then I avoid it but if it's a couple of isolated remarks then I'm not too bothered.
We stayed in a lovely hotel in Ibiza once in a very peaceful, upmarket area and the only negative comments I read were several which read "it's a long walk to the shops and restaurants". I couldn't stop laughing when we saw it was actually no distance at all so I can only assume that the reviewers were people who don't like getting off their sun loungers.
