I agree with you cubagirl. What people want to know  for example......is it clean ,is it comfortable, is the food up to standard etc.......Not for example, do the coat hangers match.....I would think we all just want value for money, and if we want a sea view or tea facilities in our room, that's what we should get.
So if you are happy with everything, then it's nice to let others know.
If something isn't right when you arrive, then be fair and let the owners try to put things right.

I agree with this.  :) I always leave a review on Trip Advisor (and any others I come across).  I also always read up about a hotel and resort before we go there and have to say I have never been disappointed.  If the same things keep coming up like run down area, awful food, horrible staff then I avoid it but if it's a couple of isolated remarks then I'm not too bothered.

We stayed in a lovely hotel in Ibiza once in a very peaceful, upmarket  area and the only negative comments I read were several which read "it's a long walk to the shops and restaurants".   I couldn't stop laughing when we saw it was actually  no distance at all so I can only assume that the reviewers were people who don't like getting off their sun loungers. ;D ;D

Dalla starts again tonight as 9pm, Larry Hagman's (JR) bless him! last two episodes before he died.

It won't be the same without him.

IN 2005 I viewed a hotel in Brighton on-line before booking, well i don't know which era the photos were taken - I thought in the early 2000s - but the decor hadn't been touched since the 1980s  ::) so shabby++ but oh so comfy.  It's where we got the idea for a Very Large Bed ......

Thanks for the heads-up on Larry Hagman, must try to remember to have a look-see ........

I have always loved the "Poirot" Series especially the Art Deco houses and locations. I have found a site that lists  them with photos.

Really enjoyed going through them.

Anyone see Call the Midwife?

I was astonished to see at the end that the twins featured in the episode were played by one actress. I would've sworn it was twins playing them!
How they filmed it to look so realistic is beyond me.
Modern technology amazes me at times  :o

Watching "Call the Midwife" always makes me feel emotional, one of the reasons is that Jenny Lee played by Jessica Raine looks so much like my mum when she was a very young woman that it sometimes brings a lump to my throat.

Think its one of the best acted series on TV at the moment.
