I have now got to leave my air-conditioned office to walk to the station in the baking heat .... to then spend an hour on a train that should have air-conditioning (so has only 4 tiny windows that can be opened in each carriage), but the air-con almost never works. I am usually beyond hot after 10 minutes - ready to cry after half an hour and fit for nothing by the time I get home. $:-\$

Poor you Scampi. Hope you get home OK. It's buses which have heating on at full, which bug me. Opening windows, if they actually have any, is useless!

cubagirl - you've got the warm weather at last! I kept looking at the weather maps after the news and glad I didn't live in N Scotland (except I know it's lovely up there)!

Our temp was 32 this morning too - I wonder how hot the Londonders and those in the SE were? 34 Janice68

Luckily we live in old stone cottage so provided we keep all the doors and windows mostly closed (bedroom window open a crack) it stays beautifully cool. So indoors it was more like 24/25 which felt so much better! Also wearing vest top and very short shorts, hair tied back - to keep cool. Didn't stop me sitting out in it for 3/4 hour this morning and same this afternoon (without sunscreen) - after all one has one's vit D to think of!
