That's a memory, my friend had one when we were in Primary School - wonder if she remembers.  If I remember I'll ask  ;D

This year I intend to make cards to send rather than buying new, from lovely ones that have been too good to throw in2 recycling.

Where would I find appropriate mounts, ??? Hobby Craft ??? i.e. those that look like photo frames.

And yes, my friend does remember the 'French knitting' doll.

My mum definitely used to get those cards, with the picture frame, from Hobbycraft.  I like to do some hand made cards, I hate seeing with a machine but to s hand sewing very relaxing so I use all types of materials and do some aplique and bead work. Gift tags too.  Still contest thing we did as kids by cutting up old Christmas cards to make gift tags. 😁

Yep we used old cards for labels until about 5 years ago.  My sister does a lot of 'kits' or hand-sewn cards.  That's a step too far, I can't even thread a needle!

We also re-use festive/birthday wrapping paper.

On that note I bought two reels of paper tape to replace sellotape. A lot of wrapping cannot be recycled because of sellotape but this stuff can,it's similar to washi tape which I think is Japanese in origin and used in crafts. Not as sticky but given I spent an hour of my life peeling off plasticity tape, so I could recycle gift wrap, well that's me sorted next year!

I buy washi tape from Etsy, I am quite devoted to that site,  but this Christmassy design I bought from the brand  new product range in Cancer Research charity shop, in their post Christmas sale.

So the Tax Man is going to target people who 'trade' on e-Bay or sell as we do in cabinets in order to get rid of unwanted items.

By various on-line platforms informing the Tax Dept of those 'earning' more than a certain amount, I can't remember which exactly!!!  Talk about Big Brother.  Pity that the government of the day don't go after those who put their monies off shore  >:(
