What the Anxiety is going on here!!
« on: January 22, 2026, 06:41:44 PM »

Hey All,
Firstly just to say I feel for all you lovely ladies going through this shit storm of the peri meno’s…isn’t it a delight!! 😩

Ok, so, the last two weeks I have suffered the most diarrhoea, sleep depriving, nauseas anxiety I have ever felt!! The only good thing to come from it is a nice bit of weight loss but to be honest I’d take an extra 2 stone over feeling like this so it’s not much of a prize!

My doc ran some bloods, turns out my oestrogen levels are low and testosterone slightly high, I have reduced my testosterone gel to 3 x a week instead of 7. I’m due to see the menopause Specialist tomorrow, I think they will suggest increasing my patch from 50mg to 75mg. I have tried this in the past but initially it gave me anxiety so I whipped it off and went back to the 50! (This HRT game isn’t for the faint hearted) 🥴.
This is a very long winded way of me asking if anyone else has titrated from 50mg to 75mg slowly and had success with anxiety? I read somewhere about putting on a 50mg patch and cutting a 25mg in half and go up slowly that way, anyone else tried this?

Just to note I have OCD and ADHD so at this point in my life I haven’t a clue what’s causing what….which really helps 🤦‍♀️🙄

Certainly you can cut some off the patch to give yourself an in between dose. It's one of the delights of meno that anxiety can be symptom of both too little and too much oestrogen  :(
