Hello - in the last couple of days I keep getting an error message saying 'The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you' which means I can't view quite a lot of posts. Does anyone know if there's an issue with the site or anything I can do to change my settings and give full permission to view all topics/posts? Many thanks!

Which 'rooms' do U want to access ?  :-\

U seem 2 have been able to respond in the private threads and there isn't any other that is off limits .

Hello, thank you for the quick reply!

It's when I type a question into Google, I get a preview of part of the topic which looks of interest so I click onto it to view the whole topic, but then get the error message. I'd say more than half of the topics are showing this error message both on my computer and my mobile phone. This has only started happening this week and seems to be on older topics I think, but not sure. Hasn't happened to any topics before a few days ago.

U don't need to go into GOOGLE.  :-\. There is a search facility on the Forum in the blue box/white writing.

Ask away?  We don't bite unless there's a "Y" in the day  ;)

Is it possible that when you google and follow the link you are viewing the forum as a guest/not logged in as you?

This might explain why you cant see some boards. Whereas if you access the forum directly your device might be auto-logging you in/caching your user I'd so you log in as you and therefore have access to all of the boards? Maybe? Possibly?

Hope you find the cause of your conundrum soon

The forum is a huge monster, hogging a lot of server activity so it's had to be pruned. Very old topics from years ago have been deleted. The same topics keep popping up so there will be duplicate threads with more recent information. The observant will notice the member list has been vastly reduced too - inactive members, and those who have never logged in, have been deleted. Hopefully this will make the forum run a bit faster.

And for those even older - the server room the size of a sports hall that contained less capacity than your mobile phone does now.

We still have one. No phone though, it has a defibrillator.

Many have been adapted for those.
