Hi, I am new to this site and would appreciate some advice.  I started HRT at 52, was prescribed Kliovance and stayed on it without any problem until January this year 2025 (18 years).  At my HRT review i was advised to change from Kliovance to Oestrogel 2 pumps and Utrogestan 100g pd due to my age, I have just turned 70. I have always been keen to carry on taking HRT and dreaded being told I should stop taking it so I was happy to change as it is a safer option.  The first 6 months were fine, didn’t really notice any side effects but from month 7 onwards I have been experiencing spotting. Month 7 spotting for 3 days, month 10 spotting for 4 days then 10 days later spotting for another 4 days, 17 days later in December another 7 days spotting. The latest episode was 10 days later and lasted for 5 days up to Christmas.  I did not have any spotting in all the years I took Kliovance so wonder why it is happening?  I also feel very depressed, teary at times, irritable/angry and have noticed my joints are stiff.  I do have arthritis but feel different to how I felt on Kliovance and am wondering if the Oestrogel is being absorbed correctly lowering my Ostrogen levels? Do I need to change dosage or try patches?   I will be going back to see my GP in the new year but wanted to find out if anyone else has experienced this problem.
Thank you in advance🥰

From what I have learnt on these groups you may need to take 200mg of Utrogestan to control the spotting, maybe try upping it and see if it makes a difference.
