Hysteroscopy
« on: November 27, 2025, 12:10:54 PM »

I had a hysteroscopy for a biopsy and polop removal Monday Am.  I've been prescribed vaginal cylogest for progesterone every other day and wondering how long I should leave it after surgery to start? Any ideas please 🙏

You don't need to wait. You can just start it.

They have always told me not to insert anything into the vagina after a hysteroscopy. I can't remember exactly for how long, might have been about 1 or 2 weeks. Can you ring the department up?

I was told not to insert anything too, I think a week, but I'm sure I restarted my vagifem after a couple of days when I was certain the bleeding had stopped as I'd had to stop for 5 weeks beforehand and I was desperate.

How did you find the surgery or did you have a GA? Hope it went well with little discomfort, rest up well.
