YES vagina moisturiser
« on: November 26, 2025, 10:34:00 AM »

Dr recommended this to me. Anyone ever used it ? If so any good ? I don't feel dry down below but I know that you don't have to be red or raw to have VA.

YES products are very popular as they're organic but you have to try them they don't suit all.  I use the water based ones.  Did your doctor say why he recommended YES?
If you have VA symptons local estrogen would be needed also.

I use estrogen pessaries at the moment. Only been on them 7 weeks. So she said try the moisturiser aswell. Maybe if I go back I should ask for estrogen cream also aswell as pessaries ??

Yes moisturiser is very good, I use it alongside Vagifem and Estriol cream, they work well together. I never felt dry with VA but I obviously was as my condition became chronic.

If you are over 50 you can buy estriol cream from Boots under the name Ovesse, topical oestrogen is very safe to use and doesn't come with all the baggage you get with systemic oestrogen which can be a minefield.

Hopefully after your appointment is out of the way you can get down to treating your GSM symptoms with appropriate doses of oestrogen. Make use of the search box here, it's very informative.

If you're on only 2 x per week ask the specialist to up the dosage to at least 5 per week. 2 per week did nothing for me and I struggled on that for a couple of years.  I use daily now plus estriol cream nightly and still struggle sometimes.

I did start off everyday for 3 weeks. I will enquire about that. Thankyou. Did you also have urinary symptoms?

I used Yes moisturizer. I actually mix it with the estriol cream. It's easier to spread.

You can get it on subscription but I buy it when there's an offer on. I know it's stupid but I'm older than you and have sons and if I suddenly pop my clogs I don't want them getting supplies of Yes vaginal moisturizer!

Yes, I ended up with a bladder prolapse due to lack of estrogen.  After seeing a consultant I was referred to a physiotherapist and my dosage of estrogen pessaries and estriol cream was increased to daily use.

Lol Deidre I bought mine on ebay haha. Just a one off purchase to try it out. I have much worse things in my drawers that I wouldn't want people to find if I popped me clogs 🤣🤣
