Hi.  Which regime R U using and which symptom would you like to ease first?

Who suggested that you needed to stop ?

When did U last have a full blood count to include VitD levels and thyroid function tests?

Hello am on evorel conti patches. Consultant who did biopsy advised stopping HRT whilst we await results but symptoms became unbearable so GP agreed pop me back on. Had bloods done in September. Thank u so much for responding feels like someone is listening x

I would consider seeing a specialist if you aren't getting the results you want from evorel conti.

It is a low fixed dose of estrogen (50mcg) and no testosterone which often benefits those with fatigue (although you would have to say it's for libido to get it on the NHS).

Additionally you haven't mentioned what you had a biopsy of, but if you are getting a thickened endometrium on the combined patch you may be better with separate agents that can be individualised to better control your endometrium (although in its favour the combi patch generally controls most people's endometrium well due to the low estrogen and potent progestin).

Did the Consultant state why a woman should stop essential HRT prior to a biopsy?  What if the appt had been postponed many times  >:( :-\

How do U feel otherwise?

This is only slightly above the normative value of 4mm which was derived from a population of untreated postmenopausal women.

It is outdated and inappropriate to apply this cut off to those on treatment. It shows a poor understanding of hormonal physiology, as estrogen's function is literally to thicken the endometrium!

Obviously it is your decision to do what you are comfortable with, but there is no clinical justification for this advice.

Even if you were riddled, which you categorically won't be with a 6mm lining, the 1-2 weeks that it will take for your pathology results would be neither here nor there, and in my opinion it is unreasonable and callous to expect you to endure avoidable suffering during this time.
