Hello all, I'm new here. I've recently been diagnosed with lichen sclerosus and I'm not sure if it's this or perimenopause that's caused my VA, or indeed both, but it's becoming more and more of a problem. I've always struggled with uti's but now can't have sex at all without getting one, despite all the usual prevention methods that used to help. I think it's because the fusion is all the way over my urethra and I can't always empty my bladder completely.
Has anyone managed to correct this in a non surgical way or am I going to have to consider surgery? I have oestrogen cream but only recently started using it. I've had the steroid cream for lichen sclerosus since June but it's not done a great deal tbh. Less itching but that's about it.
I've just been on antibiotics for 2 weeks for a stubborn uti (citrobacter) and keen to keep it at bay but not entirely sure how to as I think d mannose, cranberry PAC's etc only works for e coli :/
If anyone is in a similar boat and has any advice I'd be very grateful.
