Facial skin 'thinner' at times
« on: October 04, 2025, 11:38:57 PM »

Strange title I know but trying to keep it brief!

On Evorel Sequi, by the 3rd combined patch (ie week 4) I notice my facial skin suddenly seems a lot thinner.  I can tell if I itch it or whatever, the skin doesn't spring back and is less 'flexible' under my fingers.

Could the norehisterone (progesterone) be doing this?  It also correlates with increased prolapse symptoms and sensations in my teeth, as if they are weak and I feel less like crunching into hard foods as I worry my teeth can't take it.  At other times all of this goes away and I forget.  Until it all comes back.

And the sugar cravings at this time are terrible  ::)  Plus I can really struggle to sleep at night, all night, at this time.

Could it just be the sugar cravings (if you are satisfying them) that are affecting your teeth at the time ?

Dentist explained to me last time that I was using the wrong Sensodyne toothpaste as they do several that suits different reasons for use. Could you try a certain type toothpaste ?

I think it's a phase in the hormonal cycle, I've got it a bit now, I'm on the third evorel sequi patch.  It seems to be when the oestrogen is 'kicking in' after the combi patches.

Been to the dentist recently so got that covered and he also said they are having training in menopause, so I must tell him what phase of the cycle it seems to happen.
