Sex Hormone Binding Globulin is considerably raised by the combined pill, and in particular those containing ethinylestradiol and an anti-androgenic progestin such as drospirenone.
This is a normal finding but is not usually measured in women on the pill.
I personally would continue the pill in order to remain bleed free and suppress ovulation to avoid your own hormonal fluctuations, but I would not be using an estradiol patch as well.
This may slightly increase the risk of clots, has not been studied for safety and is really not necessary or beneficial when you already have a much more potent estrogen on board from the pill.
It is akin to flying a 737 and flapping your arms as well.
However there is no medical reason to have withdrawal bleeds on the pill, these are a relic from a very paternalistic era in women's healthcare - it is better taken without a break whether it is being used to prevent pregnancy, treat a condition or to improve quality of life.
