Hello 👋 this is my first post, so please excuse anything I have done incorrectly!

I'm hoping someone might have some advice. I'm 40, with a family history of early menopause. Started getting symptoms around 2/3 years ago and started HRT in May this year.

I started on Evorel 50 + 12 days utrogestan. This seemed to stop me waking at night, stopped the hot flushes and dramatically improved my migraines.

I had a 'dip' where the symptoms returned a bit after 3-months and increased gradually to 75mg patch. I was told to up the utrogestan to 14 days to see if it made my bleed lighter.

Prior to starting HRT I had very light but very regular periods on a short cycle - 21-24 days.

Starting HRT made these heavier, but they would still start on the same day, around day 9/10 of the utrogestan. I just carried on taking it until the 14 days were finished.

This month, I have skipped a period, in-spite of the cyclical utrogestan. My symptoms have returned much worse than before I started the HRT and I feel awful ! They've all come at the normal time I would have a period- just no bleeding at all. All the PMS (and more, hot flushes and migraines) at the point I'd normally have a period.

I thought sequential HRT was supposed to induce a bleed at the point of progesterone withdrawal?

I'm wondering if I prevented ovulation by starting the utrogestan earlier as I have shorter cycles? Apologies if that's a ridiculous idea !

Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!
