Slynd feedback helpful
« on: August 28, 2025, 04:19:37 PM »

I was on Utrogestan continouslly 100mg but made me more depressed, went onto cyclogest for 2 weeks and felt less depressed.

Going to start Slynd and would apprecciate feedback on it.

My main symptoms are anxiey and depression.

Take 2 pumps of estrogel too

I’m not on Slynd, but I am on Drovelis, which also has drospirenone as a progestin. Mood wise, for me (very progesterone intolerant), it is much better, although it’s not that I’m not moody at all, because I am (still getting used to it). I’m definitely not depressed though, more a bit pms type moody and that might just go away (only 3 weeks in).

I do have a lot of side effects from the diuretic properties and if those don’t get lighter, I’m going to switch to another progestin (dienogest).

I feel I do respond much better to drospirenone than to the other progestagens I’ve tried, so it’s a pity about the side effects. Not everyone has side effects from the diuretic properties, so don’t worry about that. I did have a headache and some neck pains (and cramping, but I’m still in peri, so that has probably more to do with suppressing my cycle) that are getting better now (still not completely gone, but enough to believe they will in a few more weeks).

Thank you for your reply.

The thing with me is I am not necessarily moody it the anxiety that is the worst for me. Depression also an issue.

So you mean weeing lots?

I will give it a go and see how i get on.

Do you suffer with anxiety?

The dry mouth is worst for me from the diuretic side effects. I am peeing a lot too, which is annoying, but the dry mouth is definitely worse.

I do have some anxiety, I’m not sure if drospirenone makes it worse, if it does, it is just slightly. Not nearly as much as other progestins. However, I’m not sure if I’ve been taking it long enough to be sure yet if it is a good fit. I don’t think my cycle is suppressed enough yet and I’m having all types of side effects that I’m not sure if it is from my cycle or the drospirenone (or the estrogen, which is estetrol and that is bio identical, but different from estradiol).
So, only thing I know for sure is that drospirenone is better for me than the ones I’ve tried so far, but not sure yet if it is good enough.
