Bleeding for 5 weeks no hrt
« on: August 26, 2025, 05:02:57 PM »

New on here looking for advice. Has anyone experienced bleeding for 5 weeks, not heavy but constant. Not on HRT. With
On and off normal period pains and tender-breasts ?

You don't mention your age or stage of menopause, however undiagnosed vaginal bleeding that has persisted for 5 weeks in anyone needs medical evaluation to exclude any condition requiring specific treatment.

If everything checks out normal there are multiple treatment options to get rid of it, nobody has to bleed at all if they don't want to.

Have you contacted your GP practice? I would also check that your cervical screening is up to date.

Hi I found your thread after searching for prolonged bleeding. I'm now on day 15 of not heavy but steady bleeding and this morning woke up with horrible nausea.

I have an appointment  with my GP on Tuesday but I'm becoming so worried as this is new and not usual for me. I'm 43 Nd my periods have been unpredictable in the last two years (cycle can be anything from 17 days to 6 months) I have bad health anxiety and this is becoming a nightmare for me to manage.

Prior to my period I experience a constant urge to pee even after I'd been which led me to question estrogen levels. I'm desperate for someone to tell me this is all peri and that the bleeding will stop!

I'm sorry you've had five weeks of it. Have you had any support from a GP yet?
