Hi if you take Utrogestan for two weeks and then stop for two weeks, then it’s likely that the bleeding is caused by a a withdrawal of the progesterone. If you are post menopause then daily Utrogestan is the advised way to take it,
That would make sense if the bleeding happened after the 12 days on Utrogestan - but it doesn't. It's been happening when I've been taking it, so I don't think it can be due to progesterone withdrawal.
For the first few years of taking HRT, I'd get a withdrawal bleed after 12 days of Utrogestan, but without ovulation pain or discharge changes.
That's why I'm baffled, & why I think it's my cycle kicking back in.
GP has now put me on Blissel & Yes VM as I'm very dry, so hopefully that will help. She's also told me to take Utrogestan 100mg daily continuously, even though I'm not post-menopausal or over 56. I assume this will stop any bleeding so my fingers are firmly crossed!
